Rob Thomas - American Idol Judge?

I recently read an article which quoted an interview at a TimesTalks event at NYC’s TimesCenter. According to the article, The matchbox twenty front man said he would be interested in being a mentor on the massive reality TV show American Idol. P

Rob already has friends who have previously been on the show, most notably of which is Chris Daughtry, of whom Rob has openly praised highly.
